Job Description:
Our client a global freight forwarder based in Heathrow are looking for an experienced AOG Operator to join their expanding team on a permanent basis.
Working on a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off days - 06:30 - 18:30, you will provide world class support to a number of customers within the aerospace industry.
Job responsibilities of an AOG Operator:
* Coordinate collections for dedicated movements.
* Manage booking processes with airlines and provide timely updates to customers.
* Prepare necessary documentation including airway bills and customs paperwork.
* Organise and arrange inbound air freight shipments.
* Handle financial aspects of operations, including invoicing and cost analysis.
* Assist in export operations as needed.
* Ensure smooth handover to the next shift.
* Introduce innovative ideas to improve operations.
The successful AOG Operator requirements:
The successful AOG Operator will have some expertise in export operations, including a strong understanding of export processes and customs regulations. Additionally, a general understanding of import operations would be beneficial, although not as crucial for the role. The primary focus will be on managing export activities efficiently and ensuring compliance with export regulations and procedures.
* Minimum 3 years freight forwarding experience.
* AOG specific experience
* Excellent IT skills to include MS Office packages.
* Ability to adapt to change and work effectively as a part of a team.
* Enthusiasm and good self-motivation
* Thinking outside the box mentality
* Full 5-year checkable work history and clean DBS

Shift: 4 on 4 off day shift
Hours: 06:30 - 18:30
Salary: Up to £35,000 ( depending on experience)
