Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
* Set and operate various machines associated with the manufacturing process
* May be required to carry out manual production / packing operations.
* Accurately record information relating to scrap, downtime, and machine issues.
* Have a knowledge & understanding of shop orders
* Collection & checking of materials to be used in the production process
* Compliance with SOP’s / work instructions associated with each process
* Participate and conform to 5’s activities
* Completion of all relevant Safety and Quality Checks on Process and Product in accordance with Stanley Black and Decker Safety and Quality standards.
* Asset care of assigned machinery (Simple, routine machine checks and maintenance tasks)
* Any other reasonable tasks/duties to aid the efficient running of the
* department.
Working Conditions
* Hearing, Eye and safety footwear PPE to be worn at all times.
* Handling of oily and sometimes sharp components.
* Artificial light all day.
* Ambient Temperature can vary from Hot to Cold dependent upon the Position of Machinery and Time of Year.
* On feet majority of the day
* Lifting required
Safety of Others:
* Must have safety awareness and participate in ensuring the working environment is kept in a safe and clean condition.
Skill:
* Must have good understanding of English and Mathematics
* Must have a mechanical aptitude
* Mechanical apprenticeship in a FMCG environment would be advantageous but not essential
Experience Required:
* Previous experience of working in a production / fast paced manufacturing environment would be an advantage
