Job Description
We’re looking for a Digital Copywriter to join Legal & General in either Hove or London!
You’ll work collaboratively with business and customer-focused teams to support the development, management, and maintenance of Digital Content across the Legal & General digital estate to make our online content findable, simple, and easier for our customers and employees to understand.
If you have a flair for writing engaging content and an interest in the commercial benefits it could deliver, then this could be the ideal next move for you! What you’ll be doing:
Copywriting development * Supporting the Senior Employee Communications Manager to help develop and write internal communications on behalf of Group Technology. This includes but is not exclusive to, internal comms emails, intranet news articles, developing PR communications and planning and delivering events to ensure that our Group Technology colleagues are aware of the latest news, events and updates across the function
Content editing delivery * Supporting the business in the creation, updating and reviewing of website content designed to meet user needs. Supporting with writing, editing, proofreading, and publishing website content that helps customers and employees achieve their goals. Ensuring content remains clear, appealing, accessible, and compliant with business requirements
Optimising for search * Supporting the optimisation of our websites to ensure that digital content is appropriately tagged and has correct metadata for SEO, internal and external site search to optimise performance in line with Group’s strategy
Deliver commercial benefits * Supporting our business stakeholders in monitoring and reporting on performance and the commercial benefits of content and web experiences which we help deliver. Supporting the business units in how we might use this insight to generate and deliver recommendations for ongoing continuous performance and website improvement
Governance * Ensuring our websites and communications remain compliant, following approved processes. This involves supporting our business colleagues to obtain approvals to meet regulatory, financial, product, technical and brand requirements, in line with internal governance and approval processes.
Consumer Duty * Ensuring all content and activity is generated and carried out in line with our Consumer Duty commitments
Qualifications
Who we’re looking for: * You’ll have a good background in content creation, development, approval, and distribution
* A good understanding of standards, legislation, and web usability best practices
* Understanding of Digital customer analytics (Adobe Analytics desirable)
* An appreciation of Content Approvals / Sign off processes to ensure all Digital Content is compliant. For example, online Brand Approval
* Content editing experience and use of CMS editing tools - such as Episerver, would be great
* An understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) would be a huge plus!
