We have a new opportunity for a Senior Materials Controller to join our team within Vistry East London, at our site in Dagenham. As our Senior Materials Controller you will be responsible for assisting the site management team with the control of materials and plant on site/multiple sites in accordance with specific development requirements, company policies and procedures.

* Experience of construction projects and construction materials in the residential sector.
* Experience of health, safety and environmental requirements on site.
* Computer Literate and numerate.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Excellent attention to detail, good administration skills and well organised.
* Able to prioritise and delegate.
* Able to build effective working relationships with colleagues and subcontractors.
* Able to work effectively in a team environment and on own initiative, to be self-motivated and have effective time management skills.
* Able to manage the work of Material Controllers.
* Full and valid driving license.
* Current CSCS accreditation.
* Good Knowledge of building construction
* Previous experience of a Material Controller role on large sites.

* More about the Senior Materials Controller role... * Ensure all required materials are planned and called off in accordance with the required programme for one or multiple sites.
* Assist Site Management in the preparation of materials schedules in accordance with construction programme.
* Complete materials and plant call off on Xpedeon in line with project requirements on one or multiple sites.
* Complete goods receipting on Xpedeon of all materials and plant delivered to site by the end of the working week on one or multiple sites.
* Communicate delivery schedule to site team, use of white boards for material tracking as necessary.
* Distribute materials on site in accordance with works package schedule.
* Liaise with materials suppliers to achieve required delivery date, taking lead times into consideration.
* Manage the day-to-day logistics of delivery’s, holding deliveries where necessary, arranging delivery timings and offloading slots.
* Attend weekly sub-contractor meetings.
* Prepare monthly stock check of materials on site.
* Liaise with Project Buyer to identify materials requisitions.
* Prepare delivery schedules and ensure these are included within orders.
* Give super user advice on systems, train and coach others about Material Controllers role.
* Check daily material stock levels and ensure materials are called off in a timely manner to meet the planned installation dates.
* Ensure relevant protection measures are on sites in accordance with the protection matrix.
* Assist Site Management with the preparation of waste management strategy and execute the waste management strategy to ensure best commercial and environment value.
* Ensure that materials storage and distribution is organised and compliant with the site-specific environment plan.
* Ensure all materials are stored and protected in accordance with current best practice to minimise damage or deformation.
* Uphold and promote our values on sites.
* Maintain accurate records.
