The role
In the UK, we are currently going through an exciting period of growth and transformation, thanks to our innovative simulation products and services, combined with increasing market demand.
We are seeking a highly motivated professional to elevate our sales operations in the UK and contribute to positively impacting our customer’s journey, while driving our company’s growth. As the Key Account Manager you will act as the main point of contact for our portfolio of customers and drive our contribution forward on transformative and high profile simulation programmes in the UK.
You will bring your experience and enthusiasm to drive sales of world class distributed simulation solutions with customers who are typically subject matter experts in aerospace and defence simulation and / or training. You will report to the UK Vice President, and will be working closely with other teams within the business (Marketing, Product Development, etc.), whilst playing a key role in delivering strategic goals for the UK business. A key objective in your role will be to build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs, goals, and challenges, then communicating these insights to the internal teams to ensure customer’s expectations are met, thereby maximising the value of the customer relationship.

You will:
Act as the main commercial focal point for key accounts in the UK
Work closely with the customer and our UK team to deliver innovative software solutions and services towards achieving our customer’s success
Deliver both standard and tailored presales demonstrations and proposals to both new, and existing customers
Apply knowledge of internal capabilities to become effective in uncovering new opportunities within your accounts
Enhance and tailor the value proposition of company products and services for various modelling and simulation use cases
Travel to customer sites, trade shows and conferences for face to face engagement when required
Seek to resolve problems or concerns raised by your customer accounts and work to maintain a positive customer experience.
Support company-wide initiatives to leverage technology, tools, and AI/ML to accelerate productivity in sales operations
What we look for in you
Experience:
Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification
Industry experience with a minimum of 3 years of that in a customer facing role
A track record of developing impactful proposals and presentations
Previous experience in technical sales, pre-sales, bid support, or similar would be desirable but not essential
Previous knowledge and experience of simulated systems and technologies (as a user or developer) to field discussions at a business level or technical level would be desirable but not essential
An appreciation of the military training domain and military modelling and simulation standards is desirable but not essential
Experience in applying knowledge of internal capabilities to become effective in uncovering new opportunities for the customers
An understanding of our competitor’s solutions would be desirable but not essential
Attributes:
Self-starter with excellent planning, and organisation skills to own and take tasks through to completion
Exhibits strong technical literacy and a continual willingness to learn
Shows sound commercial acumen, contributing to strategic decision-making
Possesses excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing abilities, facilitating clear and effective conveyance of complex technical concepts
Operates with a high level of integrity, openness to feedback, and appreciation for collaboration, fostering strong relationships both internally and externally
Appreciates regular travel in the UK and occasionally overseas
Must be currently eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
Must meet UK security requirements and be eligible for Security Clearance
