Youth Development Worker x2
Redruth
June start
Ongoing temporary basis
Rolling 4 week rota, to include 3 x night shifts per week, 5 x day shifts and weekend shifts Fri - Sun over the course of a month.
37 Hours a week
£14.46 PAYE
Sellick Partnership are supporting the recruitment of a Youth Development Workers to work within a supported accommodation for young people aged 16 -25. You will be encouraging young people experiencing homelessness to aim high, dream big and fulfil their ambitions.
The key responsibilities of the Youth Development Worker will include:
* Providing key worker support to our young people
* Working through support and action plans
* Updating risk assessments and risk management plans with them, in order for them to develop the life skills necessary to move on and live independently in the community
* Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Accompanying them to appointments
The successful Youth Development worker will have:
* Good understanding of young people’s needs, safeguarding and emotional and mental health issues
* An understanding of support needs and support planning
* An understanding risk assessing and risk management
* Enhanced DBS (enhanced child/ adult)
