Job Description:
Summary As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Salary: £11.64 per hour
Contract/duration: Flexible contract, end date of Sunday 3 November 2024
Hours/working pattern: Flexible contract with no guaranteed hours. Depending on your schedule, it is expected there will be about 2-3 shifts per week but this can be discussed. The in season shift pattern is 9.15am - 5.45pm. During weekends and school holidays, there is also one half shift each day.
Interviews will take place at Avebury on 18 June.
What it’s like to work here Avebury is part of the ’Stonehenge, Avebury and Associated Sites’ World Heritage Site and is famous for its Neolithic stone circles and associated wider landscape. Visitors also come to Avebury for the fifteenth century manor house and garden, as well as the Alexander Keiller Museum.
With different offers and attractions, Avebury is a diverse and busy property. You’ll be working as part of a small team reporting to the Welcome Manager and focused on delivering exceptional service to every visitor.
What you’ll be doing Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different areas of the site and aspects of Visitor Service, no two days are ever the same.
Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide. This role would suit anyone with a passion for delivering great customer service.
At Avebury, the welcome team work at the main visitor reception, car park welcome trailer, and Alexander Keiller Museum. As part of the team, you’ll be welcoming visitors, helping them get the most out of their day, and supporting with membership sign ups.
We’ll make sure you have the training and equipment you need to succeed in your role. This includes, membership training, till training, and cash handling. Uniform is provided.
