Michael Page Logistics are working in partnership with Global Drinks business to recruit a Transport Manager in West London.
Client Details
Our client are responsible for some of the most recognisable brands in the drinks industry. In the UK they operate as an end-to-end business unit responsible for sales through to supply.
Description
In the role of Transport Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional levels of compliance, related to running an own fleet transport operation and will be the named holder of O’ Licence for the site. You will ensure high levels of service to customers relating to deliveries whilst closely managing costs.
* Ensure all relevant Fleet and Drivers are compliant with zero tolerance approach on defects.
* Ensure exceptional levels of Health & Safety ensuring all new recruits are fully trained and training material is up to date.
* Deliver KPI targets on performance and efficiency, OTIF, fuel, and staff.
* Ensure that Drivers are provide a premium service to all our customers.
* Escalation support for the Customer Service team within distribution.
* Develop, measure, and report against a set of Logistics KPI’s - service, operational, and efficiency.
* Focus on cost to serve, working with the planning team to optimise our daily routes.
* Ongoing support of fleet management with a focus on changing legislation, greener options and being best in class
Profile
We are looking to speak with experienced transport and warehouse managers with a proven record of delivering operational improvements and efficiencies. Candidates are required to have a Transport Management CPC and those with additional qualifications and higher education are encouraged to apply. You will have strong and proven leadership capability, inspiring teams to embrace challenges and you must be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels. Finally, you will have strong business acumen, understanding the financial responsibilities of the department and with the ability to analyse and take decisive action.
