Job Description:
GBR Recruitment Ltd, are working exclusively with a leading Oxfordshire Manufacturing business recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant Bookkeeper to join the companies busy but small Accounts / Finance team, playing a key role in the successful completion of all general day to day financial accounts functions.
This is a great opportunity for an all rounder, who has previous Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper or similar Accounting experience (ideally in Manufacturing).
You will have previously been exposed to double entry bookkeeping processes, AP, AR, bank reconciliation’s, accounts reporting (monthly / yearly accounts), as well as being used to providing accounts audits support (providing supporting information.
This role is initially 5 days in the Oxfordshire office (close to Brackley, Banbury & Bicester) with the potential of offering 1 day working from home after the 6 months probationary period & after being fully trained on the ERP / Finance System they use called Syspro.
Duties:
* Approve & Process all Supplier & Sales Invoices (AP & AR).
* Supplier & Customer Statement Reconciliation’s.
* Preparation of all Payment Runs (Ad-hoc & Regular Payments).
* Manage Cash Flow & Reconcile Bank Balances / Reports.
* Manage GRNI - Goods Received Not Invoiced / Update Invoice Report.
* All Monthly Accounting Routines inc. Balance Sheet Recons, Prepayments, Accruals, Fixed Asset Journals, VAT & Intrastat returns.
* Produce Accurate Monthly Overheads Reports (MI).
* Produce Variance Analysis (Actual V’s Budget Target).
* Support Accurate Forecasting & Budget/s creation / adherence,
* Support the production of Monthly Management Accounts Board Pack.
* Support all Accounts Audits (internal & 3rd party).
* Double Entry Bookkeeping (General Ledgers).
* Excel Spreadsheet - Data Entry, Formulas, Analysis, Reports creation.
* Query Resolution (internal departments or other external customers / suppliers).
Attributes Required:
* An AAT qualified Accounts Assistant (or PQ, or QBE considered).
* Manufacturing Accounting experience (understand WIP, COGS, BOMS, GRNI etc.)
* Strong Excel skills (Formulas, V Look up etc.).
* Strong ERP System skills (any ERP system/s).
* Syspro ERP System experience would be an advantage (not a must).
* Strong Analytical skills.
* Strong professional communicator at all levels.
* A team player who is flexible / adaptable to meet business needs.
* Double entry Bookkeeping knowledge.
