Do you have what it takes to help alleviate the challenges that students with SEN/SEMH needs may experience within education?

We are currently seeking collaborative and understanding tutors local to Buntingford who are eager to provide additional tutoring support for students who need assistance building confidence and coming out of their shells.
The support would be for secondary school students, who need alternative provision to help boost their motivation and improve their outlook on learning.
Job Description:
As a SEN and SEMH Tutor, you will work closely with individual students or small groups, providing specialised educational support tailored to their unique needs. Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and implementing personalised learning plans for students with SEN and SEMH challenges.
* Delivering engaging and interactive tutoring sessions that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
* Building rapport and fostering a positive learning environment to encourage student confidence and success.
* Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support network for students.
* Tracking student progress and adapting teaching strategies as needed to meet evolving needs.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with SEN and SEMH students in an educational setting.
* Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm and consistency in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with students.
* Commitment to inclusive education and promoting the well-being of every student.
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in education, special education, or related fields (desired but not essential).
We are keen to hear from experienced tutors, educators with experience working with students with complex needs, PGCE and QTS Teachers who are looking for a more flexible and balanced work-life balance. Ideally you will have your DBS on the update service, or be willing to acquire one (we will pay for the initial DBS application).
