Job Description:
HR Officer (Maternity Cover) * Location: Windsor
* Job Type: Full-time, Maternity Cover
* Working Hours: 35 hours per week, 09:00-17:00, Monday – Friday Fully Office Based
My client is seeking an HR Officer for maternity cover to join their small team of HR generalists. In this role, you will provide comprehensive advice and administrative support throughout the full employee lifecycle, from pre-employment checks to ER casework. This position is ideal for someone who is adept at handling a variety of HR tasks in a complex and fast-paced environment.
Day-to-day of the role: * Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day employee queries, offering advice and escalating complex issues as needed.
* Conduct pre-employment checks in line with regulations.
* Maintain accurate HR system records, including inputting data and running reports.
* Generate offer letters and contracts, and assist with onboarding new employees.
* Handle pay and job changes, ensuring paperwork is completed and recorded accurately.
* Support reward activities, such as the annual salary review process.
* Work closely with departments to help line managers understand and implement policies.
* Take on employee relations casework and designated HR projects.
* Continuously seek to improve and standardise HR processes.
* Participate in recruitment and selection activities, including interviewing candidates.
Required Skills & Qualifications: * Experience as an HR Officer/HR Administrator in a complex, fast-paced environment.
* Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
* Experience using and maintaining an HRIS or ATS.
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
* Knowledge of UK employment law, including immigration and right to work requirements.
* Previous involvement in employment relations cases is ideal.
* CIPD qualification or working towards it is advantageous.
