Sales Estimator
Location: Eye, Suffolk
Job Type: Full-time
My client is seeking a Sales Estimator to join our established team, playing a key role in managing international market opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and preparing technical quotations, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic growth plans. This position is based at our Head Office in Eye, Suffolk, and is integral to the company’s long-term strategic objectives.
Day to Day of the role:
* Review enquiries to identify potential commercial, contractual, and technical issues, mitigating risk to the business.
* Prepare quotations using computerised pricing data, controlled proposal documentation, and authorised pricing policies in accordance with company procedures.
* Ensure quotations comply with pricing, discounts, contractual conditions, and terms of trade policies.
* Review orders received by the Sales team, addressing any discrepancies or missing information to ensure continuous internal customer satisfaction.
* Communicate routinely with the Sales team to ensure timely completion of quotations and proposals.
* Track personal key KPIs for the generation, recording, and status of qualified leads.
* Maintain accurate and complete information in the company’s CRM system, performing regular data quality checks.
* Report regularly to the Internal Sales Manager on performance against agreed sales metrics, KPIs, and targets.
* Liaise with distributors and internal departments to ensure correct specifications for distributor requirements.
* Maintain orderly records of prices/costs/data used in the preparation of quotations.
* Assist with the preparation of Order Processing paperwork and attend handover meetings for a seamless transfer of order information.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
* Excellent administrative skills with a high attention to detail.
* Distributor relationship focus with a high degree of commercial awareness.
* Ability to work under pressure and deliver objectives by agreed deadlines.
* Proficiency in MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft TEAMS.
* Proven work experience within an internal sales role.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* An in-depth understanding of the sales administration process.
* A-Levels in English and Maths or equivalent work experience in a related sales role.
