Are you looking for a new existing opportunity?

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our client who are a progressing company offering growth and longevity within the company

The role will be working in the project department, the main purpose of the role is to ensure that project customer orders are undertaken in a safe, timely and efficient manner in order to meet or better the companies’ contractual delivery date, ensure customer satisfaction and manage/exceed customers’ expectations

Main duties to include:
• Ensure the successful delivery of project customer orders and customer satisfaction
• Manage and negotiate with suppliers and customers
• Attend internal and external kick off meetings
• Liaise with other departments to ensure timely delivery of customer order information to supply chain function
• Manage and schedule contractual requirements including customer, financial, documentation, technical, supplier, quality, safety, scheduling, manufacturing, inspection, logistics, packaging, reporting requirements and other activities
• Produce detailed manufacturing schedules and progress reports
• Monitor and control project costs and invoicing
• Make informative decisions that benefit both project and company and have the relevant experience to be able to consider technical, financial, delivery and customer implications
• Attend project meetings to ensure projects are on schedule
• Log and suggest areas for improvement

The right candidate would ideally:
• A Levels, BTEC, HNC, HND, or higher
• Good negotiation skills
• Understanding and experience of the manufacturing lifecycle and its processes (design to delivery) - Qualification in Mechncail engineering preferred but not essential
• Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and other related project management software
• Self-motivated, keen, reliable and hardworking
• Ability to create project schedules
• Knowledge of piping equipment and an understanding of manufacturing processes (castings, forgings, welding, NDT, coatings, treatments)
• Knowledge of quality control, inspection activities and Health & Safety
• Experience of using MRP systems an advantage but not essential
• Practical ’hands on’ experience desirable but not essential
