Job Description:
PP Associates are delighted to be supporting an independently owned Manufacturing business who are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant.
As Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and some month-end processes. This Accounts Assistant role will give you variety, and you will be kept busy working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties will include:
* Processing supplier invoices, matching, batching, and coding supplier invoices, resolving supplier queries, reconciling supplier statements, and processing payment runs
* Processing sales invoices, credit notes, customer statements, allocating customer payments, and resolving customer queries
* Chasing overdue invoices from customers and building strong customer relationships
* Reconciling bank statements, updating the cashbook, creating journals, and processing monthly recharges
* Supporting the Finance Director
Skills and Experience Required:
* Up to date and relevant experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control
* IT literate, experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and Microsoft Excel
* Excellent communication skills
* Highly numerate and literate
As Accounts Assistant you will be a key member of the finance team and you will enjoy a broad role. You will work closely with the Finance Director and support with month-end accounting processes too. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders giving you lots of exposure.
