Job Description:
The Giddy Goose DUNDEE are looking for the right candidate to step into the role of General Manager, a challenging and equally rewarding position.
As a modern & fast growing company we are looking for a no nonsense, reliable, experienced restaurant manager to run the day to day operations of our extremely busy venue in the heart of Dundee and be able to work closely with our experienced management team (Assistant Manager and Supervisor).
The individual will be responsible for maintaining a consistent revenue, ensuring the highest ’Giddy’ standard of service is given by all members of staff as well as taking personal pride in the appearance, performance and cleanliness of the venue at all times.
This job requires an individual with good experience in the industry and who has worked in similar/the same role previously. The restaurant & bar is extremely fast paced and candidates must be able to work hard, maximise and work their team effectively to get the most out of everyone.
We require a candidate who can adapt to The Giddy Goose style of working and management, who can take on board criticism to improve the quality of themselves and the team they are managing. On starting the role you will have a week of one to one training with our interim manager, after that period you will be required to take on the role fully. Guidance and support will be offered throughout the job directly from our senior management.
Job Description
Your key responsibilities as the General Manager will consist of:
* To manage the venue focusing on improving all aspects of the venue including performance, sales, rationalising costs and ensuring customer satisfaction through the delivery of exceptional service and product offers.
* Manage the already established team to ensure customer service standards are met and customer enquiries are dealt with
* Managing, training and consistently working to improving the skills and qualities of the team.
* Accountable for the successful delivery of any changes that may be implemented.
* Accountability for building inclusive and diverse teams that deliver.
* To manage poor performance and misconduct quickly and effectively to reach a positive outcome for the business whilst following the company disciplinary procedures.
* Implement marketing strategies to improve F&B business growth.
Skills & Experience
The experience and knowledge we are looking for from our future General Manager include:
* Proven experience of successfully managing a large team
* Excellent interpersonal skills for diplomatically handling staff or customer concerns.
* The ability to coach, motivate and build a strong team of hospitality experts.
* Held a position previously that required you to deliver, implement and maintain high standards.
* Good beverage knowledge with the skills of working both on the bar and barista abilities.
* Possess excellent commercial awareness within the F&B industry.
* Be a genuinely bubbly caring individual who takes pride in their job and the experience of all customers.
