Plant Technician
We are partnering with a rapidly growing, industry-leading organisation in search of a Plant Technician to join their site in Witney. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a prestigious company where you can truly make a significant impact.
This pivotal role demands an individual with a blend of technical proficiency, meticulous attention to detail, and adept problem-solving abilities. Managing the intricacies of plant machinery and heavy goods vehicles requires keen observation, precision, and the capability to resolve challenges swiftly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performing major and minor repairs to plant machinery as well as heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles as required
* Carrying out PDI works and attachment set up on plant machinery
* Mobile repair and maintenance of plant machinery
* Performing regular inspection and general preventive maintenance services according to machine hrs and schedules
* Maintaining inventory in the service vehicle and cleanliness from oil spills and dust
* Working with other departments, including the sales team to ensure a quality and reliable service level is provided to customers
* Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for to machines/vehicles
* Maintaining records of machines/vehicles that have been repaired or handled
* Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims according to manufacturer requirements or escalating them to higher management
* Providing in-house training to recruits and trainees as required
* Carrying out your role with quality, compliance and health and safety always at the forefront of what you do
Key Requirements:
* Industry qualifications for both HGV repair and maintenance and plant machinery repair and maintenance to a minimum of Level 3
* You have the relevant licenses to drive, test and use HGVs and plant machinery
* Previous working experience as a plant and HGV technician with a strong technical background, as well as a keen interest in van
* You are computer literate and confident using technology
