Job Description:
Sales Manager - Sports & Fitness - Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire - £27,000 basic, £38,000 O.T.E.
We are looking for a Sales Manager in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire for one of the biggest sports and fitness chains in the U.K. to work at one of their most impressive sites with a huge -state-of-the-art gym and the largest group exercise timetable in the area. The company is renowned for developing and progressing their top talent, and with a genuinely achievable commission structure, it is a fantastic opportunity.
The role:
* Recruit, coach, motivate and lead a small team of sales consultants to achieve their KPI’s.
* Leading by example and contributing towards the overall sales target for the club. (circa 30%)
* Create sales plans and deliver outreach activity in the local community and to local businesses to generate new leads.
* Work with other departments to develop an in-reach strategy such as promotions and events to increase membership sales.
* Identify trends in leavers and work with other departments to improve retention and net gain numbers.
* As Senior Manager, support the overall business by ensuring prospects and members have a fantastic customer experience.
The person.
* An outgoing professional disposition who is motivated by hitting targets.
* A hands-on approach to leadership who will lead by example.
* Evidence of high performance in previous commercial sales roles.
* Ideally sales team leadership experience as a Sales Manager, Assistant Manager, Deputy Club Manager or even an experienced Senior Sales/Membership Sales Consultant looking for the next step.
* Ideally experience within the sports/fitness/leisure industry and if coming from another industry can demonstrate their passion for health and fitness.
* Ideally experience in proactively generating leads with outreach, sales planning and local marketing activities with local businesses/in the community.
* Living within easy commuting distance of Bishop’s Stortford.
On top of a basic salary of circa £27,000 and over £900 a month in commission, benefits include ongoing training and development, advancement opportunities, free gym membership+1, free parking, and loads of discounts across the business.
