Requirements:
* Social Work England registered
* Experience within child protection, children with disabilities, referral and assessment, child in need and child protection plans
* Extensive Post Qualifying Social Work experience
* Social Work Qualification
NonStop’s client is looking for Social Workers to work with disabled children aged 0-18 assessing their needs and working with their Child Protection/Child in Need plan involving the multi-agency practitioners based in the Family Safeguarding teams.
The team is continuously developing through actively reducing caseloads, extra training and working through the Signs of Safety Innovation Project. The authority have developed the Practice Model and prepared for the implementation of the Family Safeguarding Approach.
When you join our Supporting Disabled Children Service you will:
* Work closely with partners ensuring effective communication to support families.
* Carry out in-depth assessments of need and risk.
* Support and help families care for their children by developing creative family led care packages.
* Work with families and other agencies to reduce risk of harm.
* Go to court when needed to safeguard children.
* Make plans for the care of children who cannot live at home.
As they place a high priority on a healthy work / life balance, this allows for more focused and effective working patterns as well as happier staff, you will be able to lean on the service for support and have your managers ear when looking to work from home.
