Job Description:
My brewery related client have created a brand new role for an experienced Warehouse & International Logistics Manager.
They have been in business for over 100 years and have an outstanding reputation within the brewery industry.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Warehouse and InternationalLogistics Manager to make their mark on the business using knowledge and expertise within their area.
Resposibilities for the role:
-Manage stock as well as warehouse, transportation and other logistics processes which includes international supply.
-Develop new stratergies and sysytem to streamline processes and reduce cost
-Ensure that quality, quantity and customer satisfaction are met
-Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements to the Senior Leadership Team.
-Partner and communicate with production, suppliers and customers.
- Manage and develop logistics staff.
-Create and manage budgets
-Conduct daily briefs to the team, covering volumes to be picled/service level/damages/error rate also covering % picked against teh business requirements.
-Plan and manage the day to day requirements of the designated areas to meet demands, utilising the colleagues available in the areas that suit for that days requirements.
-To ensure all accident/incidents investigations are carried out and reports presented to Health & Safety
-Liaise eith the rest of the transport department daily to assist in the best way to consolidate loads without jeopordising the service
-To promote a safe working environment for all colleagues and that all the colleagues are briefed on statutory regulations as well as company regulations.
Team Tasks.
-Checking and offloading deliveries
-Checking deliveries against purchase orders
-Lorry planning to customers
-Keeping warehouse clean
-Compacting, disposing and recycling warehouse waste
-Pick,pack and other dispatch jobs
-Maintaining tidiness of warehouse, canopy and outdoor areas
Qualifictaions for the role
Experience of supply chain management, operations, International logistics, business administration, transportation or engineering or similar experience
5 plus years of experience working in International logistics, warehouse or trasportation operations
Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business and management principles
Strong team player
Ability to coach, mentor and provide training for direct reports
Exceptional organisation and analytical skills
Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software
