Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for one of our trusted clients who are looking for a Tier 2 SOC Analyst. This is your chance to join a leading 24/7 managed security services provider!
What You Can Expect
* Location - Remote (MUST be based in the UK)
* Salary - £50,000 and 15% shift bonus
* Industry - Cyber security
* Work type - Permanent
* 2 roles available.
Main Responsibilities of a Tier 2 SOC Analyst
* Investigating and responding to highly complex security alerts.
* Ensuring SOC triage incidents are addresses promptly and in line with SLA’s.
* Acting as a subject matter expert on incident detection and analysis for junior analysts whilst on shift.
* Performing threat hunting to highlight and respond to security trends.
* Coordinating incident response efforts and communicating to the wider team.
* Investigating potential incidents leading to either a close or escalation and documenting action taken.
* Using Azure Sentinel for historical searches.
* Support SOC event and information intake including intelligence reports and monitoring reported incidents.
* Coaching junior SOC analysts when required.
* Assist with analytical rule tuning.
Qualifications and Skills
* CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON A ROTATING 24 X 7 SHIFT PATTERN (7AM-7PM AND 7PM-7AM). THIS WILL BE 4 ON, 4 OFF.
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a SOC Analyst.
* Experience using Azure Senintel, Chronicle, Splunk or equivalent.
* Interest in building a career within Cyber Security.
