Job Description:
Position can be based in either our London, Potters Bar or Bristol office. However please note there will be an expectation to attend the London office.

Job Summary:

To support the Director of BPA Business Director in driving BPA Business Development and the delivery of an annual sales plan, at or better than plan financial metrics for BPA.

To support the development and delivery of an appropriate sales strategy and the associated plans, including building and maintaining strong and value add relationships with EBCs, professional trustees and existing clients.

Position Responsibilities:

1) Support driving and delivering stretching BPA sales plan, and ensure deliver to ROI and other financial performance metrics.
Work with colleagues across the business and within BPA function business to ensure sales, capital and return targets are met in line with the business plan
Ensure key senior stakeholders (including the Executive Management team) are kept informed.

2) Build strong and effective durable relationships with all external (EBC, trustees, existing clients) and internal stakeholders, that drive greater value for CLUK and the broader Group.

3) Support the execution of bulk annuity transactions, including policy conditions, and communicate to and influence Senior Executives (MD, BPA, CFO, Actuarial Function Holder etc.), in an appropriate manner on the impact, financial and otherwise, of the various actuarial developments.

4) Continually monitor the market, analyse trends and data to ensure management of risk to business and support both the Director of BPA Business Development and Director of BPA Strategy and Commercial, to develop the BPA Strategy and its implementation in the business.

Experience Required:

• Good knowledge of, and experience in the UK Bulk Annuity market. Prior experience of origination and execution of bulk annuity transactions would be preferred.
• Good understanding of BPA products and pricing, understanding of capital requirements under Solvency II.
• Commercially astute. Driven, and energetic.
• Highly numerate/analytical. Ability to think strategically and help develop business plans and objectives
• Excellent presentation skills
• Ability to drive innovation in BPA transactions and proposition.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Actuary or similar (desirable).
• Strong commercial capability
