I am currently working with a well-established engineering company in Redditch, who are growing their headcount and are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking quality technician to join their Operations team.
 
The role of the Quality Technician will involve, but is not limited to:
* Supporting APQP and PPAP activities.
* Calibration and Metrology
* Developing and maintaining company inspection reports.
* Inspecting products to ensure quality standards are adhered to.
* Conduct internal assessments / audits.
* Support the development of operator-led control plans to drive quality awareness.
* Ensure non-conformances of work products, processes, and project activities are identified, recorded, communicated to interested parties - tracked, resolved, and further prevented.
* Monitor safe launch and firewall activity to aid process.
 The ideal candidate for the Quality Technician role will have:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality-based role.
* Basic metrology skills
* Excellent communication skills at all levels, including the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
* Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
* Working knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF16949 internal / external auditing.
* Customer facing skills.
* Practical application of quality tools, including 6 Sigma, Capability Analysis, PPAP, FMEA and more.
* Ability to read and interpret customer drawings with GD&T knowledge.
* High level of numerical and analytical
* Competent in all aspects of Microsoft
* Team Player self-
* Assertive with a dynamic positive “can do”
* Ability to work under minimal
 
We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive team player for the role of the Quality Technician, and in return they can expect to work in a friendly working environment, the hours of work are 07:45 – 4.30 Monday to Thursday, and 07:45 – 12:15 on Fridays.  The Quality Technician will receive a competitive salary, depending on their experience in a similar role.
