Permanent Office based role
Monday to Thursday 8am – 4pm and Fridays 8am – 3.30pm
Commutable from Knaresborough, Harrogate, Thirsk, Boroughbridge, York, Wetherby, Tadcaster or Leeds
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for someone with experience in Supply Chain, Logistics and Transport Planning to join a company based between York and Harrogate in North Yorkshire as their Supply Chain and Logistics Manager.
The Role
This is an exciting and varied role in which you will be managing and coordinating all  goods movements within the company supply chain. You’ll be route planning the vehicles, managing the use of the transport resources and working with all the stakeholders to ensure our products are where they should be at the required time

Duties
* Carry out cost-effective planning of loads and routes to meet delivery times and budgets.
* Manage our drivers including ensuring they are meeting their legal obligations
* Manage required transport resources ensuring appropriate capacity is available.
* Work closely with all stakeholders including liaising with drivers and subcontractors to ensure appropriate knowledge is captured and shared.
Skills/Experienced Required
* Someone with a can-do attitude and the ability to positively influence the outcome of challenges in the job role.
* Adaptability to react to the ever-changing demands of the supply chain logistics.
* Experience in transport planning in a commercial environment and communicating directly with drivers.
* Experience of European logistics.
* Must have own transport
* Excellent Customer Service skills
