Job Summary: They are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join the team in Wokingham. As a Payroll Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for clients in different industry sectors. You will work under the guidance of an experienced Payroll Manager and collaborate with a team of four Payrollers to deliver exceptional payroll services.
Key Responsibilities:
*Process and manage payroll for a portfolio of clients, ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
*Accurately calculate and input employee hours, salary adjustments, deductions, and other payroll-related data.
*Validate and process payroll reports, including payslips, tax forms, and year-end reports.
*Stay updated on tax laws and legislation related to payroll to ensure compliance.
*Respond to client inquiries and provide excellent customer service in a professional manner.
*Maintain up-to-date and organized client records and payroll information.
*Collaborate with the Payroll Manager and team members to resolve payroll-related issues and improve processes.
*Assist in the preparation and submission of payroll-related reports to relevant authorities.
Qualifications and Skills:
*Previous experience in payroll processing and administration is preferred.
*Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance.
*Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
*Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
*Effective communication skills and a client-focused approach.
*Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
*Self-motivated and eager to learn and adapt to changes in the industry.
