Job title: Accounts Assistant 
Location: Surbiton- 100% office based
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Pay rate: £15.38- £17.95 PAYE or £19.09- £22.38 per hour via an umbrella company
Length of assignment: 4 months, with the potential of an extension

We are recruiting on behalf of a key client who are looking for a temporary Accounts Assistant where a successful candidate will play an integral part in the Accounts team. Due to the nature of the client’s business, they are particularly busy over the summer period which is why they require additional help at this time. 

 
JOB DESCRIPTION for this Accounts assistant role:

• Raising sales invoices

• Posting purchase invoices

• Dealing with customer and supplier queries

• Setting up payments in the bank (HSBC Net)

• Posting payments / receipts in accounting software

• Bank reconciliations

• Filing and other administrative tasks

• Ad hoc database cleaning and projects if required

• Assisting with month end reporting and other reports if required

 
QUALIFICATIONS for this Account assistant role:

• Attention to detail

• Willingness to learn

• Intermediate Excel skills & Access Dimensions (would be an advantage)

• Able to prioritise effectively

• Quick to learn

• Ability to work individually and as part of a team

• Well organised and pro-active

• Flexible and reliable

• Diligent

• Trustworthy
