Transport Contract Coordinator

Menzies Distribution is on the hunt for a proactive and enthusiastic Contract Co-ordinator to join our team in Droitwich. This role is perfect for someone who loves going the extra mile, has route planning experience, and excels in customer handling.
It is essential for this position that you hold transport industry experience, have excellent communication skills with effective interpersonal skills, and possess the capacity to operate independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
What You Really Want To Know:
* Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
* Hours: 8am - 5pm, 45 hours per week
* Salary: £32-34,000 dependant upon expereince
* Location: Droitwich, WR9 0LW
* Holiday entitlement is 28 days Per Year

Job Overview
* Plan and manage a fleet of 8-10 vehicles. You will be the go-to person for all issues that may arise, working closely with other planners to ensure efficiency, safety, and legal compliance.
* Managing resources effectively to maximise revenue and minimise costs.
* use planning and allocation sheets to plan day 1 for day 3, utilise systems to create transport orders, and produce and analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Building a solid relationship with the customer is essential, instilling trust and demonstrating the ability to explain and guide the customer when needed.
What We Need From You:
Eligibility: Right to work in the UK.
Tech Savvy: Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Word & Excel).
Experience: Previous planning experience and liaising with customers on a regular basis. CPC desirable.
Numeracy Skills: Good numeric skills including accuracy.
Communication: Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical Ability: Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
Financial Understanding: Good level of financial understanding.
Flexibility: Adaptable and able to handle varying tasks.
Team Spirit: Help maintain a motivating focused team environment.
Personality: Enthusiastic and energetic personality.
Initiative: Ability to work on own initiative and demonstrates organisational skills.
