Occupational Hygiene Technician
Location: Bridgwater, Somerset
Job Type: Permanent - Full Time
Occupational Health Staffing are looking to recruit an Occupational Hygiene Technician in Bridgwater, Somerset on a full time permanent basis. The role is to work onsite and will be a mixture of day and evening shifts. A typical monthly working pattern will be 3 weeks of day shifts followed by 1 week of 3.00pm - midnight shifts. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate with a STEM degree who ideally has some experience of industrial and/or construction environments. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary occupational health team undertaking:
- Perform occupational hygiene monitoring and surveys of personnel and site activities, for a range of chemical, physical and biological agents
- Participate in specific occupational hygiene related investigations and studies
- Carry out regular workplace inspections / tours to assess occupational hygiene related aspects
- Assist with preparation and delivery of training and information materials on occupational hygiene
- Contribute to the regular update and circulation of occupational hygiene performance reports.
To apply for the Occupational Hygiene Technician role you will have a degree qualification in a Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics subject area and preferably at least three years’ work experience of industrial and/or construction environments. You will need to be an affiliate member of the faculty of Occupational Hygiene (AFOH).
Salary: £24,000 Base Salary + travel allowance and unsociable hours adjustments (£29,112 OTE)
