My client in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer’s Assistant. Working with the Senior Buyer this fast paced and varied role would also involve sourcing products for their homeware range. You will need to have strong numeracy skills, an ability to understand sales analysis and be able to work under pressure and deadlines. Key tasks
You will have the following duties and responsibilities:
* Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers
* Order, log and return sample products
* Negotiate terms and prices and set commercial retail prices
* Organising product reviews and photoshoots
* Writing accurate and detail product descriptions
* Work with suppliers and customers to resolve any quality issues
Skills and Experience
We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and has a positive attitude. You would also need to have:
* Office / administrator experience is essential
* High level attention to detail
* Strong numeracy skills and an ability to understand sales analysis
* Proficiency in Excel and excellent written communication skills
* A team player attitude
* Ability to manage and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines
* Drivers licence due to remote location
Benefits & Salary
Salary is £24-26k per annum, depending on experience.
Ability to work from home 2 days a week (excluding catalogue selection months).
