JR190: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Bromborough, Wirral

Salary: Up To £16.03 Per Hour

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Proactively manage time to work on assigned boats, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
* Ensure that all boat(s) are completed to the required quality standards.
* Effectively manage, control, and designate works orders to the appropriate team members.
* Early and proactive submission of spares requests to maintain a smooth workflow.
* Provide regular and detailed progress updates on assigned boats to the Workshop Manager or management team.
* Lead by example, motivating the team to uphold a culture of cleanliness, quality, and continuous improvement.
* Inspect and check the quality of all mechanical works, ensuring adherence to technical design drawings.
* Follow company processes and Health and Safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
* Be open to any other reasonable requests from the management.
* Provide support to the MST group in all group activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Prioritize the health, safety, and welfare of all employees in the workshop.
* Understanding of Engineering drawing and schematics.
* Demonstrate significant self-motivation and initiative, capable of managing own workload with minimum supervision.
* Excellent communication skills
* Possess technical awareness to provide support and training to other team members.
* Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Qualification
* Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (preferred)
* Full UK Driving Licence
