Audit Manager Job Vacancy We are actively seeking a dedicated and qualified ACA/ACCA professional with 2-5 years of post-qualification audit experience to take up the role of leader of the audit portfolio as an Audit Manager in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
The successful candidate will be confident to lead and oversee diverse audit client assignments, serving as a pivotal point of contact with the assignment partner and fostering enduring client relationships. You’ll assume a pivotal role within the management team, shaping and influencing various facets including resourcing, training, audit quality, and recruitment. Job Purpose *Provide strategic direction and leadership to the audit department, ensuring alignment with firm’s objectives and industry standards.

*Ensure adherence to auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies to maintain audit quality and integrity.

*Identify and pursue growth opportunities, contributing to the firm’s business development and client acquisition efforts.

The Successful Applicant *ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
*Minimum of 2 years in audit roles within public practice.
*Proven ability to lead audit teams and manage client engagements effectively.
*Comprehensive knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, and relevant legislation.
*Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships, understanding their needs, and ensuring satisfaction.
*Ability to mentor, train, and develop junior audit staff.
*Proficiency in overseeing multiple audit engagements simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
*Familiarity with audit software tools and accounting software packages.
*Ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities, including cross-selling services and expanding client portfolios.
*Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities and deliverables.
