Job Description:
We are an international manufacturing company based at our modern site in Frimley with both our head office functions and manufacturing teams on site. We are recruiting for an experienced Product Manager (Mechanical) to join our well established and successful team. The role of the Product Manager(Mechanical) is the Maintenance and Development of the existing range of mechanical products currently in our portfolio keeping at a high level the competitiveness of our instruments in the market.
The task of the Product Manager (Mechanical) in the management and development of the mechanical products, is as follows:-
Be able to work in team, owning the projects agreed in coordination of the manager, for the development of the specials and new products, driving the activities of the other teams of the company involved in the project being focused to reach the targets within the fixed deadlines.
Be sure that the products under their responsibility are complete of all the necessary technical and commercial documentation and will support the Responsible of the Certification in the renewal of the certificates associated to their products keeping them updated.
Support technically the sales and the marketing team for the activity of promotion of sales of the products increase the demand from customers.
Set, plan and do training session to other department in the company according to the needs of the team.
Set the pricelist yearly.
Give technical support where necessary to customer’s query.
Keep under control the cost, the quality of the products under their responsibility.
To be successful you must have the following skills and experience:-
A Degree or HNC in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in working in conjunction or within a sales department
Proactive approach to the product development task
Knowledge of the standards (ASME/EN), normative and Directives applicable to the mechanical products
Be available to travel abroad when necessary
Ideally you should also have the below but they are not essential requirements for the role, just an ideal.
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and main Microsoft tools
Experience in Process Control Instrumentation market
Knowledge of protection mode for Hazardous Area application
Worked in an associated industry for 5 -10 years
Have experience of working for a manufacturer of instrumentation
