What it’s like to work here Felbrigg Hall is one of the most elegant country houses in East Anglia, boasting one of the largest collections in the whole Trust. From unique wallpapers to intricate books and decadent interiors there is a never-ending array of objects to get lost in whilst exploring the house. Similarly, Felbrigg’s rolling landscaped park with its lake, woods and waymarked trails is great for family days out and even boasts ’buggy-friendly’ walking routes.
Working as part of a busy but enthusiastic House and Collections team who take pride in their work, you will be joining a team that is focused on caring for Felbrigg’s varied collection and interiors.

What you’ll be doing As a Collections Assistant, you’ll be helping with the day-to-day clean of the house to ensure the best possible standards of conservation care are maintained. No detail will go unnoticed, and you’ll keep a keen eye on everything from the environmental conditions in a room, to signs of wear and tear. You’ll keep accurate records too, work with volunteers, learn about collections management, acquire knowledge of the standards of house presentation and take part in a variety of duties ranging from routine physical tasks to the unexpected. This role has some visitor facing elements, we’d love you to talk to visitors about the work you’re doing, and the collections we have.

This role will be spread over 4 days, with an 8.30 am start. The successful candidate will be expected to work 1 weekend in 3.
