Job Description:
Summary We’re looking for you to play a key role in one of our let estate teams. Providing coordination to our projects and reliable technical support services, you’ll be the go-to person for helping the team navigate our administrative systems and processes and help us continuously improve our ways of working.
Our let estate team are made up of estate management and buildings professionals who manage our diverse portfolio throughout Northern Ireland, Wales and England.
The Let Estate team is involved in the full tenancy lifecycle for a range of property, including residential, commercial and agricultural assets, as well as ensuring ongoing maintenance and investment in them.
This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity based at Scotney Castle on the Sussex/Kent border, covering Sussex and Kent. We are happy to explore and agree a hybrid working arrangement, which strikes the right balance for you and the Trust.

What it’s like to work here In this role you’ll be working within a team of building and estate management professionals, playing a pivotal role in enabling them to deliver high quality estate management and projects across our Sussex and Kent portfolios. This includes properties such as the South Downs, the White Cliffs, Scotney and Bodiam Castles, Sissinghurst, Chartwell, Knole, and Nymans. This role plays a key part in the management of our assets and relationships with our tenants which are essential to the delivery of our conservation work.
What you’ll be doing Providing key support for our let estate team, working with estates and building professionals to deliver our core management and project work.
Detailing and analysing management information from our systems and ensuring we are maximising efficiencies, as well as effectively implementing new administrative processes
Producing communications material to share successes and champion the work from within your team for a wide range of audiences.
You’ll be involved in supporting the delivery of our projects including helping ensure all the relevant governance is in place and coordinating internal teams and external contractors.
There will also be continuous improvement projects that you’ll deliver alongside the other Rural Asset Management Officers. 


Who we’re looking for * strong client service skills – you’ll be liaising with our internal teams across departments, tenants, partners and external stakeholders
* ability to maintain data, systems and processes to support the effective management of the let estate
* an understanding and awareness of the importance of governance processes
* ability to gather, analyse, interpret and present Management Information to support decision making
* confidence in using IT packages, and are happy to learn and explore new technology and systems and share knowledge with others
* ability to work as part of a team to achieve the best results, demonstrating best practice and sharing ideas and thinking
* experience of small scale project delivery and working with contractors
