Job Purpose *Preparation and finalisation of accounts for owner managed businesses, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited companies
*Preparation of business tax computations for the same portfolio
*Review of VAT returns prepared by the client
*Leading audits for Limited companies
*Supervising junior staff, including review working and knowledge sharing
*Build trusted client relationships as their main point of contact, proactively handling queries
*Champion your own professional development, undertaking training opportunities
*Work directly with Managers, Directors and Partners to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are being met
*Oversee on-site work and perform accounting, auditing and computer functions

The Successful Applicant *ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified with previous experience in practice
*AAT qualified, studying towards ACA/ACCA or with a desire to begin study also considered
*Study support can be provided where needed for the right candidate
*At least 2 years’ experience leading audits from planning to completion
*Adept at the preparation of statutory accounts
*A hands-on team player who can also work autonomously
*Excellent work ethic, self-motivated, and reliable
*Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
*Able to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties
*Good awareness of current affairs and solid commercial acumen
*A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver
