Job Description:
Bookkeeper/ Accounts Administrator, £24,000, Ripon, remote with 1 day office based.
Are you an experienced bookkeeper looking for the opportunity to work for a company that has a national presence dealing with high-end clients? Are you looking for a predominantly remote based role? Do you live local to the Ripon area?
Our client is ideally looking for someone with experience within the construction industry, however this is not essential but previous accounts experience is alongside a knowledge of Sage accounting.
Skills Required:
• Previous experience essential - ideally within the construction industry
• Knowledge of Sage accounting softwware
• Confident and experienced with invoice processing.
• Sub Contractor experience desirable.
• Responsible and highly organised.
• Able to work on own initiative and independently.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
Key Duties: -
• Inputting, matching, and coding invoices to Sage.
• Processing purchase invoices to payment.
• Reconcile payment to ledger.
• Monitor customer payments.
• Reconcile VAT returns..
• Analyzing and matching invoices including CIS deductions and VAT.
• Process journal entries.
• Process timesheets, reconciling payments to ledgers and collating information required for payroll which is outsourced.
• Managing finance invoices.
• Providing information to managers such as year-end reports.
• Process quarterly and year end returns.
• Liaise with suppliers as required.
Benefits:
• Salary of circa £24,000
• Hours of work 9-4.30 with a 3.30pm finish on a Friday
• Flexibility offered with hours
• Mainly home working with weekly visit to the office
• 20 days holiday plus 8 BH
• Pension scheme
• Laptop & expenses for travel to the office
