Purpose of the role
You will join our National People Development team, focusing on supporting the Early Careers Development Manager in the deployment and execution of national projects and procedures. The primary focus is on encouraging the personal and professional growth of both trainees and managers, with the aim of providing a fulfilling and rewarding experience for our people. This role necessitates collaborative work with the L&D Senior Manager and the L&D Team, functioning across various areas.
This role requires someone who can work to multiple deadlines, manage their workload efficiently and to be fully committed to the role within Early Careers. Experience with professional qualifications and apprenticeships is desirable and the role requires excellent attention to detail and professional communication, both orally and written.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
ESFA requirements - ensuring we are ESFA compliant, and trainees are completing the apprenticeship in the required time frame through the below:
* Developing and implementing training and learning materials for appraisal managers regarding the apprenticeship programme and its requirements, ensuring they have adequate knowledge to fulfil their roles to the required standard.
* Developing and implementing guidance documents for trainees to ensure they are clear of their apprenticeship requirements and deadlines in order for them to fully understand the trainee lifecycles across all departments, divisions and qualifications.
* Ensuring consistency of the ’look and feel’ of materials and guidance documents by liaising with the national marketing team.
Ensuring consistency in training providers (Kaplan and First Intuition):
* Developing and implementing an approach to streamline the Talent Coach process, ensuring there is consistency between Talent Coaches and their approaches with trainees.
Onboarding - ensuring we are consistent in our national approach to Early Careers by overseeing the below:
* Work closely with the wider people team including L&D to develop and help facilitate internal training programs and onboarding sessions that meet the needs of both managers and trainees.
Internal training - help develop the Engage and other programmes/sessions through:
* Liaising with the wider People Development team and Audit Technical team to ensure a stable transition between our national induction piece and Engage content.
* Work with the Early Careers Team to evaluate and identify any skills gaps among our trainees and develop strategies to address these gaps collaborating such information back to the Tech Audit Team, L&D Team, and partner groups.
* Work on developing our pathways to ensure it incorporates the necessary skills and knowledge areas identified from the skills gap analysis.
* Helping to ensure the trainees are receiving the appropriate training.
Trainee voice - ensuring trainees have a chance to voice their thoughts through:
* Oversee and develop the ’Trainee Voice’ group in London by arranging and overseeing meetings and potential events.
* Liaise with other regions to roll out the trainee voice initiative in other offices.
* Implementing and using Teams and Crocus to communicate consistent messaging with trainee groups.
