Job Description:
Our client has an amazing opportunity for an experienced Designer.
Our client is the UK’s leading contractor in the construction of cold stores, firewalls, data centres, clean rooms, single-envelope cladding and doors.
As the Designer you will ensure a comprehensive and accurate design is delivered for projects, using Revit and design technologies. You will also be responsible for ensuring company standards are adhered to and that designs are compliant with specifications and manufacturers guidelines.
To be successful in this role you will be expected to;
* Show a high level of competency in Revit. Creating high-quality, clear, informative, and accurate drawings - GA’s & details.
* Prepare 3D project models in Revit to a high standard. 3D modelling of walls, ceilings, trims, doors, windows, steelwork, and all components within the scope of works.
* Output various file formats to communicate with clients and key project members, including DWG, PDF, IFC, RVT & RFA, COBie, project coordination and clash detection.
* Follow project drawing requirements and naming conventions and use the appropriate drawing portals required, including BIM level 2 projects.
* Take design ownership of the projects allocated.
* Understand the standards & practises relevant to your work and align your work to them
* Produce O & M manuals drawings.
* Understand key firewall, coldstore and external design principles and apply them to the project design as required.
* Provide accurate panel and trim schedules.
* Attend site visits at key stages of the project to build positive relationships with clients and project personnel.
* Conduct site surveys and quality checks as required to ensure installations meet the project requirements.
* Attend all meetings required throughout the contract process(either online or on-site).
Experience, Qualifications & Skills Required:
* At least two years’ experience in a design role, preferably in a similar industry.
* Skills in design engineering and technical drawing.
* Experience in Revit a must
* Competence in IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, & Outlook.
* Broad understanding of materials and installation methods within the market sector.
* Construction-based qualifications(HND, HNC), or a design-based qualification focusing on construction drawings using Revit.
* Knowledge of relevant CDM Regs 2015.
