Job Description:
Are you seeking your next role within education? Are you a resillient and versatile educator?
Empowering Learning are working with a brilliant provision in the DE15 area who are looking to add to their staffing team from September 2024. The school houses children who present with SEMH & an array of other SEN.
This will be a full time and permanent role beginning 2nd September 2024. Hours of work will be 8:30-16:00
The main duties within this role will be:
* Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils within the classroom and using the outdoor space
* Leading small group interventions with pupils working below age expected levels
* De-escalating situations where challenging behaviour had arisen
* Liaising with senior members of staff in school around progress of the pupils
* Contributing towards the wider goals of the school
The school are looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience of working with special educational needs
* Can be resillient in the face of a challenge
* Can build relationships with children who struggle to engage within lessons
* Has a good sense of humour! (It helps)
