Job Description:
Job Title: Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding
Location: North West (Flexible remote working available)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE) + Uncapped Commission + Car Allowance
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
Reed are currently working in partnership with a dynamic and growing freight forwarding company, committed to providing innovative supply chain solutions. Offering various services including freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution. As they expand their operations, they are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to join the team.
Role Overview: As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to identify and secure new business opportunities within the ocean freight and air freight sectors. You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prospecting: Identify potential clients and develop a robust pipeline of leads
* Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies
* Solution Selling: Present freight forwarding services, emphasising expertise in ocean and air freight
* Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to win new business
* Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings
* Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed sales targets consistently
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven Track Record: Minimum 3 years of successful business development experience in freight forwarding
* Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of ocean freight and air freight logistics
* Networking Skills: Excellent networking and relationship-building abilities
* Results-Oriented: Driven to achieve targets and exceed expectations
* Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
* Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed
