Job Description:
Head of Connections Services
MSI Group is currently seeking an outstanding individual for a pivotal role within the Prison Service. Working for our client, a charity organisation, you will be part of a top-tier delivery partnership with other organisations in a transformational initiative within the sector.
We are looking for a Senior Leader with experience operating within the prison environment, particularly in offender management or reducing reoffending. This experience should include overseeing Family Programmes or Substance Misuse/Recovery services. In this exciting new endeavour, our client will be creating a strong recovery ethos (or ’ecosystem’) across the prison, focusing on our Designated Recovery Wing and Recovery Zones, in collaboration with the separately commissioned Drug and Alcohol Service.
They will deliver Substance Dependence Treatment Programmes to support participants with alcohol/substance dependence through intensive 20-week structured programmes meeting CSAAP standards. These programs are not typically delivered within healthcare contracts, as well as Incentivised Substance Free Living (ISFL).
This exciting new role will be part of the Prison Senior Management Team and will play a crucial part in demonstrating a better way of providing these services in a prison setting. This approach truly contributes to supporting Prisoner Service Users (PSUs) in achieving transformational change.
Responsibilities:
* You will wear a project management hat to begin with, driving projects as part of the mobilisation and transition of the new prison.
* You will need to build a new management and staff team to meet mobilisation deadlines and ensure this team is ready to deliver from day one with the right mix of competencies and training.
* You will help develop and drive cultural change across the sector, creating an environment full of champions to advance the initiatives.
* In true pioneer fashion, you will be undaunted by barriers and fully supported by an experienced and credible management team to drive through the necessary changes.
We are looking for:
* Sector experience: Experience within the prison environment, offender management, or reducing reoffending.
* Stakeholder management: An exceptional stakeholder manager who enjoys working with all functions and can communicate and influence across all delivery partners, both internal and statutory.
* People management: Ability to manage people indirectly, across, and above.
* Organisation and process: Organised, process, and action-driven with strong commercial awareness. Able to manage complex projects and implementations and set culture.
* Communication skills: Ability to take complex information and make it understandable to all.
* Interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, self-motivation, and enthusiasm are essential, as is the ability to meet deadlines.
Join us in this groundbreaking role to transform lives and demonstrate a new, effective approach to prisoner support and rehabilitation.
