As a Heat Treatment Technician, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring our metals achieve the desired conditions through precise heat treatment processes.
As a Heat Treatment Technician, you’ll be responsible for operating furnaces to homogenize, anneal, stress relieve, harden/solution, or temper/age castings. Your role is crucial in achieving the required material conditions for our products. You’ll work with a variety of metals and sophisticated equipment to ensure top-notch quality and performance.
This is what you’ll be doing:
* Set up and operate heating equipment daily, ensuring adherence to required timescales and standards. Monitor, verify, and approve heat treatment cycles.
* Maintain furnaces and other equipment in good working condition, performing basic repairs and requesting technical assistance when necessary.
* Conduct daily furnace checks and periodic testing, including but not limited to SAT, TUS, leak rate, O-T, hardness, and Spectron.
* Include required test bars in each initial and rework load to ensure compliance.
* Participate in training for heat treatment equipment and processes.
* Keep heat treatment areas clean and organised on a daily basis.
* Adhere to all site quality management systems and health and safety procedures.
* Perform additional duties as needed to support team objectives.
