Senior Risk Analyst - Risk Management Function

Join our Risk Management Function in London, where you’ll play a critical role in supporting and challenging first-line risk management across the EMEA region. You’ll be instrumental in embedding our Risk Management Framework (RMF) to meet corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities 

Risk Management
* Engage with business units and functions to foster a strong risk management culture.
* Analyze strategic and annual business plans, including scenario analysis to identify key risks.
* Conduct risk assessments and scenario analyses as part of the risk management process.
* Maintain the Risk Management Framework across all legal entities and update relevant documentation.
* Enhance second line of defense risk oversight with a detailed understanding of material risks.
* Support capital assessments and oversee stress and scenario analyses for capital adequacy.
* Oversee risk management activities performed by our business services and assist with additional projects as needed.
Specific Focus Areas
* Embed the Risk Management Framework by identifying, monitoring, and reporting risks.
* Enhance the risk appetite framework and develop risk-based metrics.
* Identify, assess, and monitor emerging risks and conduct stress and scenario analyses.
* Lead deep dives into specific risks to identify and implement mitigating activities.
* Contribute to the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process and report quarterly/annually.
Technical Competence, Productivity, and Teamwork
* Understand both non-life and life insurance products, services, and associated regulatory regimes.
* Conduct quantitative data analysis and interpret key risk indicators and metrics.
* Exhibit strong organizational and analytical skills with excellent communication abilities.
* Manage risks and issues across diverse products and locations simultaneously.
* Collaborate effectively and lead/support various deliverables while managing your own tasks.
* Develop skills and behaviors supporting outstanding performance and meet professional/regulatory expectations.
* Comply with fit and proper policies, maintain professional skills with CPD, and be a role model for all staff.
Internal & External Liaison
* Collaborate with the global risk management team to develop best practices.
* Work closely with various units and business segments to contribute to risk management frameworks and capital assessment processes.
* Provide accurate commentary for risk reports and prepare materials for regulatory monitoring.
* Stay informed on regulatory developments and expectations.
Systems Management
* Ensure risk management systems are relevant, well-maintained, and supported.
Qualifications * Relevant actuarial, finance, or risk management qualification preferred.
* Proficient in English; basic knowledge of French or another European language is desirable.
* Experience in the insurance industry (life & non-life) with knowledge of Solvency II and insurance processes.
* Proficient in financial modeling and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Demonstrable risk management knowledge and stakeholder engagement experience.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and take ownership.
* Knowledge of risk management/GRC systems.
* Excellent report writing and communication skills.
* Degree level or equivalent.
