We are partnering with Zen Educate to recruit dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants for a specialized SEMH Boys School in Haywards Heath. This role offers the potential for a permanent position, providing a unique opportunity to build a meaningful career in education.
About the School:
Our school accommodates boys with SEMH and other special educational needs (SEN). While the children’s behaviour can be challenging, our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) is highly supportive and always on hand to assist. We provide comprehensive training to equip our staff with the skills necessary to thrive in this environment. We value resilience and a passion for working with children with additional needs over specific experience, recognizing that the right attitude and dedication are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with SEMH and SEN in their learning and development.
* Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programs.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Help manage challenging behaviour with patience and empathy.
* Work collaboratively with the school staff and SLT to ensure the well-being and progress of the students.
* Participate in training and professional development opportunities provided by the school.
Requirements:
* A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
* Resilience and patience in dealing with challenging behaviours.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
