We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive primary school team on a temporary supply basis. This role is crucial in providing tailored support to children with a range of SEN requirements, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting Learning: Assist in delivering individualised learning plans under the direction of the SENCO and class teachers.
* Behaviour Management: Use effective strategies to manage behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
* Personal Care: Provide personal care and support to children with additional needs, ensuring their well-being and dignity.
* Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support the holistic development of each child.
* Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs and challenges presented by different SEN profiles.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to promote inclusive practices and contribute to Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of progress and interventions, ensuring information is up-to-date and accessible.
Skills Required:
* Empathy and Patience: A compassionate approach to supporting children with SEN, demonstrating patience and understanding.
* Communication Skills: Effective communication with children, colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
