We are collaborating with a Plymouth secondary school that is seeking to hire a committed and experienced SEN teaching assistant to start in September 2024. You need to have prior experience working with students who have special needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist students in accessing the curriculum and engaging fully in classroom activities by offering support while working under the guidance and supervision of the teaching staff.
* Take part in the design and assessment of educational activities alongside the instructor, giving them input on the students development.
* Help the instructor maintain discipline and focus among the students by supporting their unique goals.
* Under the close supervision of a teacher, provide assistance to students exhibiting problematic behaviour while taking support plans and risk assessments into consideration.
A successful candidate must provide the following:
* Must have an enhanced child and adult DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one.
* Must provide 2 professional references.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Patient and Reliable.
* Experience working with people with SEN / Disabilities
* Be confident supporting children and young people
* Work as a Care / Support worker is preferred.
