Join us as a Senior Data Engineer in the heart of Lake District!
Our client, an innovative and ambitious Financial company based in the scenic Lake District, is looking for a talented individual to join their team as a Senior Data Engineer. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data architecture
- Design ETL pipelines using Azure tools like Azure Datalake/Factory/DataBricks & SQL
- Utilize Python / PySpark programming languages to build scalable distributed systems.
- Create reports/dashboards with PowerBI visualization tool
-Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams utilizing Confluence/Jira/Azure DevOps
Qualifications/Skills Required:
To be considered for this role applicants must possess:
-A degree or relevant experience from Computer Science (or related) background.
-Proven hands-on coding skills including expertise working on large-scale big data projects involving Extract Transform Load(ETL), batch/stream processing technologies etc…
-Prior work experience building complex system architectures by leveraging Microsoft Cloud Services(Azure)
-Knowledgeable about Agile software development methodologies along with exposure towards CI/CD pipeline automation approaches/tools
* Awareness of Informatica or similar data governance tools (Desirable)
* Experience of working in agile (SCRUM) and waterfall delivery-type teams.
* Experience in a financial services or other highly regulated environment.
