LTF Recruitment specialises in long term to permanent roles in education settings. Our partner secondary school are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in the Derby, DE21 area.
The role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learners, enhancing their academic growth and personal development.
Role Responsibilities:
* Actively support students with special educational needs to access and engage with learning
* Deliver personalised 1-1 and small group support
* Monitor and facilitate the progress of students, nurturing their social, emotional and academic development
* Establish open lines of communication with members of staff and parents
* Facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation with learning
* Support classroom teachers with maintaining a positive learning environment
Requirements:
* A relevant qualification or degree is desirable
* Experience of working within an education setting or similar
* Demonstrate the ability to work with diverse learning needs, adapt learning and provide tailored support
* Have a passion for education and fostering a positive learning experience for all students
* An Enhanced DBS and two references are requirement for this role
