Job Title: Project Planner x2 with Nuclear Experience
Location: North West, England
Employment Type: Contract (Inside IR35)
Job Summary: We are seeking 2 experienced Project Planners of a senior level with extensive nuclear industry experience to join a new clients dynamic team. The successful candidates will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities across two nuclear sites. This role requires a deep understanding of nuclear regulations, safety standards, and project management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Planning and Scheduling:
* Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved on time.
* Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues. Implement corrective actions as needed.

* Resource Management:
* Allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal utilisation across both sites.
* Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.

* Risk Management:
* Identify and assess project risks. Develop risk mitigation plans and strategies.
* Monitor and report on risk status throughout the project life-cycle.

* Stakeholder Communication:
* Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
* Facilitate communication between project teams at both sites to ensure alignment and coordination.

* Compliance and Documentation:
* Ensure all project activities comply with nuclear safety regulations and industry standards.
* Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, risk assessments, and progress reports.

* Continuous Improvement:
* Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
* Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project planning processes.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning within the nuclear industry.
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
* Strong understanding of nuclear regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
* Excellent analytic, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
* Certification in Project Management (PMP, PMI-SP) is highly desirable.
* SC Clearance is not essential but is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience:
* Experience working within a Nuclear environment.
* Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and other performance measurement techniques.
* Knowledge of Lean and Agile project management methodologies.
Working Conditions:
* The role requires occasional travel between the two nuclear sites.
* Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet tight deadlines.
* Adherence to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
