Description
* Responsible for accurate cost reporting, including Forecast, Value of Work Done and Commitments against approved Budget.
* Responsible for set up, control, reporting
* Ensure accurate monthly accruals submitted to Finance.
* Ensure shared costs are re-allocated as appropriate, for recharge to partners.
* Provide robust variance analysis.
* Identify and support opportunities for cost efficiencies whilst maintaining safety and integrity.
* Support annual budget build for relevant Budget area.
* Monitor, review and advise on key vendor cost performance.
* Lead and drive budget meetings with budget holders.
* Champion compliance with supply chain and R2P processes
* Participate in all appropriate internal and supplier meetings
* Deputise for Cost Engineering Lead as required.
Profile
A successful Cost Controller should have:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a cost control role within the energy and natural resources industry.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software.
* A solid understanding of financial regulations and standards.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* An detail-oriented approach to work.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
