Building Maintenance Engineer
Location: Plymouth
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 (DOE)
This company is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Engineer to maintain the factory and site services to the appropriate standards, ensuring compliance with all audits. As a Building Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for driving maintenance and improvements in all factory and external areas. You will be completing planned maintenance tasks as issued while documenting all findings. This is an exciting opportunity for a tradesman ideally with facilities management experience looking for a secure days-based role.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Plan tasks and liaise with Engineering Manager and Stores Controller to ensure that suitable materials are available.
Inspect areas and plan repairs and improvements.
Complete simple alterations to building fabric such as painting and decorating and plumbing systems.
Drive maintenance and improvements in all site and external areas.
Respond to reactive site services issues.
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the team:
Ideally level 3 qualified in a building trade or equivalent.
Should be competent in plumbing, carpentry, painting, basic electrical and building works.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Able to identify and resolve issues promptly.
